Many times welcome to my poetry page! I've been writing these things for as long as I can remember, and I'm reasonably talented, if I do say so myself. ;) Look around!
(The poems are placed in chronological order, with the oldest first.)
All this Contained
It's a lovepoem. I originally wrote it for a story, but the story was never finished so I'm just putting the poem up. Cute, isn't it?
The Griffin's Song
Ah, in celebration of my love of griffins. :) First verse is the best.
Lost Time
Another lovepoem, 'lazy' this time, meaning prose. Gloomy, depressive, gloomy...
Childhood: Lost and Found
Yet another lazy poem. This time, as the title implies, about childhood and what happens when we grow up. :)
My World Comes Crashing Down
It's a poem about uncertainty concering love. I'll happily admit that this is not one of my better poems.
The Elven Lovers
Rhyming, it is! :) It, as the title suggests, is about elves, and it also happens to be quite sad...
My Dear
I was once told I had an obsession with the moon and dances; I tend to agree.
The Ballad of Christin and the Nix
What a nix is? It's a male variant of the siren. A fellow who, it's said, sits in the lakes, here in Scandinavia, playing his violin, luring people to their death. Nixes are cool! :) Or is that nices are cool...?
The Hero's Lot
Whoever said that it was easy to be a hero?
Midnight Muse
I have a muse. He's male and named Jakob. Most of the time I love him, but when he drags me out of bed at 3am to jot down a poem (as was the case with "All This Contained") I could kill him, and has threatened to do so on several occasions. So this is dedicated to my little Jak! :)
Nightmare Lullabies
Dark, war-ish poem, dedicated to those suffering in war. It's damn wrong, it is!
Moon Song
A werewolf poem thing. I rather like it, actually. And the weird rhythm? Completely on purpose! Yup! Ahem...
Give in to Me
I scare myself, sometimes. I really, really do.
Salvation
A poem for a character in a scrapped story of mine. A necromancer who, at one point in his youth, lost his mind and slaughtered his entire village, including his beloved (yet, eternally unnamed) fiancee.
Assassin's Lament
Exactly what it sounds like. :)
My Dark Messiah
A poem inspired by a picture I'm working fervently on making look right. It's being quite stubborn.
Virgin in Black
In turn, a poem that inspired another picture, of the same name. :)
(No) Regrets
Angst. Lots of angst.
The Puppetmaster
(Actually written even before "Give in to Me", but shh...) Ahh, I'm a dark little Neflet.
Would I Could
One of those random inspirations that sometimes hit me.
Final Serenade to S.
Another of those doomed-love poems I'm so fond of. Also, trying to write in the wonderful A-B-A-B rhyming style I use all too rarely. ;)
Half Nectarines Tonight!
If I could, I'd make this a song, just because it's so damn silly that it deserves it.
Kill Me
Dear Muse - git off mah back! >:o
